The correct oil seal for the 9K axle pre-1989 is the Unitized Oil Seal # 10-63. It has a 2.250 inch inner diameter and a 3.376 inch outer diameter and is a dual action seal. The inner part stays fixed on the spindle and the outer casting rotates with the hub. Inspect for hub oil leaking from the inner seal onto the brakes and inner tire sidewall.
